University Place

University Place is an apartment-style housing building for students who have achieved sophomore status (30 post-high school credits completed). Students may choose from a 9-month academic year contract or a 12-month full term contract. Floor plans include:
2 bedroom unit for 4 students
4 bedroom unit for 4 students
1 bedroom unit for 2 students
Efficiency unit for 1 student
Units include full kitchens with refrigerator, stove, microwave. Furniture is provided and includes bed with loft, dresser, desk, desk chair in bedrooms and sofa, leather recliner, ottoman, end-tables, and two counter stools in living room. Residents are not required to purchase a meal plan, but may do so if they desire. Rent includes $200 dining dollars at the beginning of each semester.

RECONTRACTING for 2010-11:
Contract E-sign runs Feb 19-25.
Room selection begins March 1, 2010.

- Dining Dollars - With your University Place contract, you receive $200 Dining Dollars at the beginning of each semester (Fall Semester and Spring Semester-Academic Year for the 9 Month Contract; and Fall Semester, Spring Semester, and Summer Session for the Full Term Contract).
Dining Dollars can be redeemed at the following locations: Squires, Terrace, and Wilkerson Dining Centers; Walsh, and Wilkerson Convenience Stores; Stomping Grounds (Locations at University Place and Memorial Union); Old Main Marketplace Food Court; U-Snack Convenience Store at the Union; Wings Café; Medical Science; and Twamley Snack Bars. A ten percent (10%) discount shall be applied to the purchase of meals with Dining Dollars at the dining centers only. Any unused balance of Dining Dollars on the last day of the contract period (9 Month or Full Term) will be forfeited.
- If you have purchased a Dining Services meal plan that includes dining dollars, these are separate from the above mentioned dining dollars. The meal plan dining dollars DO EXPIRE at the end of the semester. For Spring 2010, the meal plan dining dollars expire on Friday, May 14, 2010.
