Why Live on Campus?

Friendships that Last a Lifetime
"Fitting in" is something that everyone can relate to. You want to make friends and fit in when you start college. A great way to ease the transition from high school or another campus to UND, is to live on-campus. Living on campus provides a unique opportunity to meet people and make friends on a daily basis.

Security
Safety of our students is a primary concern at UND. All outside residence hall doors are locked 24 hours a day. Residence hall students are issued an outside door key for their hall only, and visitors must be accompanied by a hall resident. Residence hall room doors are equipped with dead-bolt locks and peep holes. A safety escort service is available on-campus as well.

National and UND Research Proves that Residents Get Better Grades
Residence hall students have a higher grade point average than students who live off-campus (freshman through senior year).

Our Students Tell Us - "Living on campus enhanced by ability to..."

  • Live cooperatively (94%)
  • Improve communication skills (92%)
  • Respect other ethnicities (90%)
  • Meet other people (91%)
  • Resolve conflicts (88%)
