Camp Supervision

Check Point Program - Grades 9-12 Only

Students going into grades 9-12 are assigned to the checkpoint program. This program offers emerging teens limited campus flexibility such as: walking themselves to and from breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the daily scheduled itinerary without supervision from university staff. During open campus free time, (beginning around 5:00 pm) students may walk around campus, but MAY NOT leave the designated boundaries as explained in the first floor meeting. All campers wishing to leave the building must check-out with a Camp Counselor at the check-out table.  Campers may not, at any time, be in the rooms of other campers who are of the opposite gender.

All campers must be in their residence hall by 10:00 pm each night.  "On-wing" time and "lights-out" time, will be in sync with bed checks set by the Camp Staff.  These times vary from camp to camp and range from 10:30 pm - 11:00 pm.  Lastly, during the camp day, campers must regularly check-in with his/her department staff. Check-ins occur after breakfast, lunch, dinner and the housing bed check time. Any student found outside the designated camp boundaries or who does not make the final bed check time will be dismissed from camp.

Restricted Supervision Program - Grades 3-8 Only

Students going into grades 3-8 are assigned to the restricted supervision program. This program is supervised by department staff, coaches, and housing staff. In this program, your student is escorted to and from all daily camp activities including breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the evening, your student must attend all of the scheduled housing activities, however, they have the option not to participate. During the approximate time between 5:30 pm - 7:30 am, the student will be supervised by the camp housing staff. Other campus department staff and coaches are responsible for your student between the approximate hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (varies depending on daily schedule).
